Prayer Partner Project Shhh! Let’s keep this as a surprise for our Prayer Partners!
As you know, our fifth grade prayer partners are graduating from SKS. There will be a special celebration for them, but I don’t know the details yet. As part of their surprise, I would like to give each of them something from us. Please make a card and write a note in it for your prayer partner. In your note, you can thank them for being your prayer partner, tell them that you will miss them, and wish them good luck in their new school. Be sure to sign your note! You can bring your card to school on the next drop-off day.
If you like to do crafts, you can also make something for your prayer partner … a bookmark, a key chain, a painted rock, a flower; a clay animal; a shrinky dink; a necklace or bracelet … whatever you can dream up!
If you don’t like to do crafts, I will make sure your prayer partner has a gift!
To be sure every one of our prayer partners gets a card, please do this assignment first … even before i-ready!!!! 😉
Here is a list of our prayer partners:
Amanda-Arieana; Addi-June; Austin-Tristian; Conrad-Colby; Declan-Kara; Jolena-Emi; Marcus-Shannon; Natalie-Joey; Nathan-Talia; Nicholas-Michael; Olivia O.-Arieana; Olivia P.-Emi; Quincy-Lola; Rosie-Jonathan; Salena-Nicole; Trevor-Brent; Will M.-Lily; Will O.-Ian; William S.-Molly; Xavier-Talia

Morning Prayer … The Beatitudes (Religion Text, p. 378)
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land. Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:3-10)
